Answers before you install

Where your writing goes, what leaves your machine, and what to do when you want the extension gone. If something here is unclear, ask us on the contact page.

In your own browser, on the computer you are using. Your notes, your task list, and your settings sit in that browser's storage. Two side effects are worth knowing. They do not follow you to another machine, and clearing your browser data or removing the extension takes them with it. Copy anything you want to keep before you do either.

No. There is no sign up, no login, and no password to forget. You install it and the page works.

The hub opens as your new tab page, so a new tab lands you on the calendar, tasks, notes, alarms, clock, calculator, and search box. That is the whole idea: the things you keep a spare tab open for are already on screen. If you decide you want your old new tab back, remove the extension and Firefox puts it back.

You type a query and press enter. The query goes out to the search service, which sends the results back. So yes, the search service receives what you typed, the same way it would if you searched from anywhere else in the browser. If you would rather a search not leave your machine, do not run it from the box.

It appears once, right after you install, and it is worth reading instead of clicking past. It explains that the extension records install details and sends periodic activity information back to us, and it records the preference you pick. What you write in your notes and tasks is not part of that. The privacy policy covers the same ground in full.

Yes. Add the zones you care about and the clock shows them next to your own local time, so you can check whether it is a decent hour in Tokyo before you send the message. Your list of zones is saved in your browser along with the rest of your settings.

Yes. Alarms and reminders are handled by the extension, not by whichever tab you happen to be looking at, so a hub tab sitting three windows back still gets its alarm at the time you set. Firefox does need to be running.

Open the Firefox add-ons manager, find All In One Work Hub in the list, and choose Remove. Your notes and tasks live in the browser storage that belongs to the extension, so they go when it goes. The uninstall page walks through it step by step.
